Writing for Good
Rooted in Community
Education is more than my copywriting specialty. It's a transformative experience I believe every human has a right to. That's why I volunteer my time and donate a portion of my annual profits to educational causes.
When you choose to partner with me, you don't just advance your mission. You also advance the work of teachers, librarians, and nonprofits in the Greater Rochester Area and beyond. Thank you for your support.
Community Projects

Simon Scholars
This unique scholarship program helps students facing difficult life and economic circumstances to excel through high school, complete a 4-year college degree, and pursue a meaningful career. I helped the organization kick off their new blog with a focus on ethical storytelling and empowering language that centers the students, not their adversity.

Golisano Autism Center
The Golisano Autism Center needed a one-pager to support their capital campaign. With the executive summary we created, prospective donors learned how the Center was uniquely positioned to meet the community's needs. The campaign raised $9M to fund the construction of the new Center, which centralizes and coordinates autism support services in the region.
HousingForward Virginia
This statewide partnership provides data and insights to advance affordable housing with a focus on racial equity. They developed an educational resource to unpack the history of zoning, how it works, and why it matters. I edited the Zoning 101 Toolkit to help make this complex topic clear and accessible to a broad audience and improve the Toolkit's readability online.

Women on Wikipedia
Several nonprofits sponsored a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon in honor of Women's History Month. The annual event empowered community members to fight gender bias and improve the representation of women on the world's largest encyclopedia. The marketing campaign we created attracted 225+ participants. They improved 692 articles, which have amassed 15.7 million views.
